Dingle Peninsula "painting."

This is the result of an experiment I did in exploring the outer limits of Photoshopping some of my favorite Ireland images. If this reminds you of Van Gogh that might be more than coincidence. It is actually a photo on the Dingle Peninsula near Camp.

I wanted to stay the night in Inisheer just for the chance of taking this picture. It turns out that there were many other good reasons to stay in Inisheer. We hadn't been to the Aran islands since the 1970s, and I find the look of the place just stunningly otherworldly.

Yeats' Tower

South of Galway. This is in an area of farming and not much else. You really have to have a good idea where it is, because it is not well marked. However, when you round the corner and see this, it is an absolutely awe-inspiring sight.

Walking down the path from the oratory, I was taken with the sheer beauty of the Dingle Peninsula countryside.
